Go on...scale the heights

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

The truth in this life is that many times we live trying to fit and be compatible. To exist in a set of socially defined realities and to conform to the rules created thereby. We do this, maybe in order that we have a pleasant-to-hear eulogy at our funerals, be like everyone ... or the big one, to be loved. I guess really it is the latter that drives our thinking, our actions and desires. The pursuit of love.

Be informed, dear friend, that both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...Choosing to focus on what is missing from our lives gives purspose and meaning to the effort. Social norms purport to prescribe that we be grateful for the 'abundance' that's present -love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure - alleging that the wasteland of illusion falls away and one gets to "experience Heaven on earth.” Isn't life all about awakening the natural curiosity of the minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards. Isn't heaven a lifetime pursuit?

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.
